Connect an official WhatsApp number for calls: Meta requirements Briefly An official line calls through Meta; a number running alongside the WhatsApp Business app does not support these calls. You need a daily messaging limit of 2000 recipients and a payment method on the WhatsApp account. Business verification is not required for calls. An official line calls through Meta's calling interface on a number connected as official WhatsApp . It is more reliable in status but lives by Meta's rules. Check the following in advance.

Connect the number as official WhatsApp and wait for Meta to approve it.Check the daily messaging limit in the WhatsApp Business account at Meta, and the payment method. Turn on calls for the line: «Connect WhatsApp calls» in the line connection. When everything is ready the line shows «Calls connected». Call the number from another phone and take the call in the browser — incoming calls . Good to know. After calls are turned on, the call icon may take up to 7 days to appear for your customers in the WhatsApp chat. That time is Meta's, not Dialogs'.
