How sign-in to Dialogs works and what gets confirmed

Dialogs does not trust an address just because it is written somewhere. An email or phone becomes your sign-in method when you enter a code that arrived on exactly that address. The email code is 8 digits, valid for 10 minutes, works once and only in the browser where you asked for it.

• An address from Bitrix24 or amoCRM is a fact about you, not a key. It does not open the cabinet.
• A confirmed address is tied to one person. Nobody else can take it or sign in with it.
• A taken address cannot be claimed: Dialogs says “This address is tied to another card. Sign in with it.”
• When an address is confirmed, your other sign-ins on other devices end, and you stay in this browser.

The screen gives the same reply for any address. What actually happened is visible only in the letter: you get a sign-in code, or a note that you already have a cabinet, or a warning that the address belongs to another account. So an outsider cannot learn whether an address exists.

I got a letter about a sign-in attempt I did not make. What do I do?

Your cabinet was not opened: the letter only warns about the attempt. You do not need to enter anything. To be safe, open Settings → Profile → “Sign-in and security” → “Where you are signed in” and press “Sign out of all other devices”, then check the list in “Email and phone”.

I lost my phone or signed in on someone else’s computer

Open Settings → Profile → “Sign-in and security” → “Where you are signed in”. Press “Sign out” next to the device, or “Sign out of all other devices”: all other browsers and phones sign out, and you stay here.

Where do I turn on two-step sign-in?

In Settings → Profile → “Sign-in and security”, the “Two-step sign-in” row. Press “Turn on” or “Manage”.
